Thinker By Rodin Sculpture On Black Base
Details
The Thinker Statue by August Rodin makes a perfect gift, awards and throphies. The Thinker is part of August Rodin's major work, gate to hell. The work was planned as an ornamental door for the proposed Palace of Decorative Arts. After his visit to Italy in 1875, the sculptor read Dante's Divine Comedy and felt the urge to do groups from the poems. This reproduction was made from the heroic size bronze original art at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Base is 1.25 tall x 5.5 wide.
