The manger is designed for the baby Jesus statue shown in the 50" Nativity set of the Holy Family, FFN51302. Infant Jesus is sold separately. The manger or trough was usually sculpted out of wood, stone or in later years, metal and was designed to be used to feed the livestock. It comes from the french word, "manger", meaning to eat.
