| The Savannah Bird Girl was originally sculpted in 1936 by Sylvia Shaw Judson for Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. The sculpture was created from the likeness of a young girl named Lorraine Ganz. This graceful work of art and the lovely town wherein she has stood these many years acheived considerable recognition when, in 1994, a photo of The Bird Girl appeared on the cover of the best selling novel, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil by John Berendt. She was alo featured in the movie of the same name. Enjoy the serenity of The Bird Girl in your home or garden.
