The Brookfield Company are manufacturers of originally designed, fiber-reinforced large concrete plant containers, fountains, birdbaths, garden furnishings, garden sculptures and hypertufa garden troughs.
Founded in 1985 by owners Hilda Gilkeson Jones and John Cline, The Brookfield Company grew out of efforts to produce large scale planters for their own gardening needs. Fiber reinforced concrete was soon discovered to be a superior material for outdoor planters because of its durability and weather resistance. Brookfield Planters are cast of fiber reinforced concrete. This material has great weather resistance, less porosity and greater flexibility than other traditional material, thus allowing these planters to be used outdoors indefinitely in virtually any climate or location.
