Savannahs Bird Girl 24" High. The Savannah Bird Girl was originally sculpted in 1936 by Sylvia Shaw Judson for Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. The sculpture was created from the likeness of a young girl named Lorraine Ganz. This graceful work of art and the lovely town wherein she has stood these many years achieved considerable recognition when, in 1994, a photo of The Bird Girl appeared on the cover of the best selling novel, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil by John Berendt.
