ZEUS - Zeus was secretly born in Crete and brought up by Oceanid Metis to hideaway from his father Cronus, who would devour Zeus to secure his position as the god of the sky. Zeus later on overthrew Cronus and shared the universe with his brothers and sisters. Zeus gained the heaven and earth and ruled them, carrying a thunderbolt as his weapon. Being the lord of the sky, Zeus was regarded as the most powerful supreme ruler of all gods and men.
