Nike is Victory Sculpture. She is often seen in company of Athena, who never puts up with defeat. There are no myths attached to her, but she is an old goddess. This 19th-century, scaled museum replica of the goddess Nike with wings spread as she landed on the prow of a ship is thought to be announcing the Rhodian naval victory over Antiochos III.
