One of the most famous images of Renaissance Italy, this statue depicts one of the twelve mythic labors of Hercules. Rossi a follower of Michelangelo, was commissioned to sculpt, for the Palazzo Vecchio, the myth in which Hercules throws Diomedes to his won man-eating mares.
