We have purchased Eleganza and in the molds they had we found this treasure of Beethoven in the collection. On the mold was written Beethoven in Vienna. And after research is seems to have been inspired by the one in Heiligenstadt Park. Heiligenstadt, previously on the outskirts of Vienna, is now one of the capitol's districts. Beethoven visited Vienna frequently and would stroll in the park, and it was there that he wrote the famous Heiligenstadt Testament in 1802. This sculpture, 10.5" high, is mounted to a white alabaster base. Finished by our Artisans in a bronze patina. We have a limited supply of these marble bases and will switch to, locally grown and sculpted wooden bases as that supply is exhausted.
